Kingsborough Community College culinary arts students joined some of the most talented pastry chefs in the nation as volunteers at the annual U.S. Pastry Competition held at the Javits Center in March.
The competition, sponsored by Paris Gourmet, a leading specialty food importer, and distributor, was held at the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York. This prestigious pastry competition gives pastry chefs from all over North America the chance to highlight their talents. It also gives Kingsborough’s students a chance to get experience helping them compete.
KCC Chefs Naxielly Dominguez, David Goldberg, Joseph Boljonis, and Thomas Smyth accompanied the students who coordinated and facilitated the set-up of the pastry competition. The students received Certificates of Appreciation for their work and priceless experience.
