Guttman Students Participate in Newest CUNY Arts Initiative Partnership

As part of the CUNY Arts Initiative, four Guttman Community College students are working with the New 42nd Street College Corps to gain exposure to the art world. They have paying jobs as theater ushers and receive one-on-one mentorship and counseling from the New 42nd Street staff. The College Corps is the most recent addition to the CUNY Arts Initiative, which aims to bring arts into the lives of students and diversify the workforce of NYC’s arts and culture world. The four Guttman participants are Bria Bethea, a freshman majoring in Human Services; Dominick Hull, a Sophomore in the Business Administration major; Elisa Martinez, a Human Services freshman; and Zhane Jenkins, a freshman with a major in Liberal Arts.
