Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced support for the Advanced Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), a new approach to community college education for low income students and working poor adults. ASAP’s goal is to help students graduate within 3 to 4 years. The first 1000 ASAP students will enroll in Fall 2007 at Bronx Community College and Hostos Community College in the Bronx; Queensborough Community College and LaGuardia Community College in Queens; Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, and Borough of Manhattan Community College.
