On behalf of The City University of New York, I extend my deepest sympathy to those who lost loved ones as a result of the senseless and horrifying February 14th attack at the campus of Northern Illinois University. Our thoughts are with our colleagues at Northern Illinois University. We mourn their losses and offer our heartfelt condolences to the entire campus community.
I know that we are joined by the higher education community across the country in offering a unified gesture of support to Northern Illinois University.
As we grieve the tragic loss of life in Illinois, I am asking the CUNY college presidents to facilitate access to the University’s counseling offices as needed and appropriate.
