LaGuardia Community College Hosts an Open Forum on the Issue of Hate in Our Society on November 20

November 3, 2009—How does hate impact our society? That question will be addressed at a Queens forum conference to be held at LaGuardia Community College on November 20. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature keynote speakers Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott of Education and Community Development and Commissioner Patricia Gatling of the New York City Commission on Human Rights. Following the speeches will be a panel discussion headed by experts in the educational and health care fields and from the corporate sector.

The forum, entitled, “Creating an Inclusive Society: Revisiting the American Dream,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the College’s Little Theatre at 31-10 Thomson Avenue, Long Island City.
