November 9, 2009–LaGuardia Community College Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and Department of Defense Northeast Regional Council will host a two-day conference, beginning November 18, tailored for small businesses looking to sell their goods and services to prime contractors, federal, state and local government agencies.
On the first day of the “Small Business Training and Matchmaker” conference, there will be workshops for small business owners and a roundtable discussion for veteran-owned small businesses. The matchmaker event on the second day will provide participating small business owners with the opportunity to speak directly to representatives of prime contractors such as Raytheon, General Dynamics, Goodrich—ISR Systems, ConEdison Solutions, Kaman Aerospace Corporation; and government agencies such as the U.S. Navy, Naval Undersea Warfare, Watervilet Arsenal, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers about the products and services they sell.
The event will be held at the Westchester Marriott at 670 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, New York. The program runs from 12 noon to 6:15 p.m. on the 18 and 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the 19th.
