Dr. Regina Peruggi, president of Kingsborough Community College (KCC), today announced that KCC, Brooklyn’s only community college, was named one of the top four community colleges in America by Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance in America’s community colleges. KCC, selected from an original pool of more than 1,000 community colleges, is one of four community colleges that will share the $1 million prize.
The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program announced today Kingsborough Community College (CUNY) in Brooklyn, New York as a finalist-with-distinction for the 2013 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Selected from the nation’s more than 1,000 public community colleges, Kingsborough will receive a $100,000 prize to support its programs.

Kingsborough Community College (KCC) today announced that it will host a roundtable discussion, “Brooklyn Under Water: Confronting a Landscape of Risk,” on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 5 to 7 pm, in the college’s Art Gallery. The event, organized by the Brooklyn Waterfront Research Center at New York City College of Technology and KCC, will be an interdisciplinary conversation about the future of Brooklyn’s waterfronts in the age of climate change.

Kingsborough Community College (KCC), Brooklyn’s only community college, has announced that it will host its seventh annual Eco-Festival, April 25-27, 2012. The theme is “Our Earth Community: What is My Role?” The three-day event is free and open to the public. The opening session begins at 9:10 a.m., Wednesday, April 25.
Dr. Regina Peruggi, President of Kingsborough Community College (KCC), today announced that the college will host a roundtable on Brooklyn and Development, Thursday, October 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The roundtable will be held at the Marine Activities Center (MAC) Rotunda. It is free and open to the public.
The roundtable will focus on the most significant changes taking place in the Borough, from construction projects to population shifts, from economy to culture. It will examine what drives these changes, who is affected by them, what role do individuals or communities have in shaping decisions that involve them directly and indirectly.
