Wednesday, November 19, Medgar Evers College (MEC) will welcome a number of United Nations (UN) ambassadors, colleagues from the University of the District of Columbia, Friends of Education for African Children Orphaned by AIDS and the Permanent Mission of Grenada to the United Nations to campus. The group will host a symposium with the focus, Education as an Imperative for a Transformative Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda. They will also discuss the status of progress since the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child.
