Larry and Eris Field Donate $10 Million for Baruch’s Academic Building

Larry and Eris Field pledged a gift of $10 million in support of the future renovation of 17 Lexington Avenue, Baruch’s original academic building. The building will be named the Lawrence and Eris Field Building. The architect Frank Gehry has expressed his commitment to being involved in the renovation/design. In addition, the Fields are donating $2 million to fund the Larry and Eris Field Family Chair in Entrepreneurship, expanding the scope of Baruch’s Field Center in Entrepreneurship, which the Fields endowed in 1999.

The founder and principal of NSB Associates, Lawrence Field has more than three decades of experience in the real estate development and investment business both in New York and Southern California. He is a founding director of the California Housing Council, a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, and has served on the boards of numerous charitable and civic organizations. Mr. Field is a trustee of the Baruch College Fund Board, a member of its Executive Committee, and an active member of the College’s fundraising campaign. He holds a Bachelor’s (B.B.A.) from The Baruch College of the City of New York and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York Law School. Read more
