Bertelsmann Recruiting Services (BRS) is an entrepreneurial department within Bertelsmann AG, one of the foremost global media companies, with a family of brands including Random House, SONY BMG, BMG Columbia House, RTL, and Fremantlemedia.

We currently have the following opportunity available in our New York office.

Job duties
Content Management of all MyFuture web sites (These are the web sites that are fully integrated with our applicant tracking systems that are utilized by the majority of our companies worldwide)

-Administration and daily support utilizing proprietary content management system
-Identify and recommend potential areas of enhancements based on user feedback, research, readily available studies and information on best practices

Applicant Tracking System
-Create, edit and upload templates to Becruiter.net website (This is our worldwide applicant tracking system)
-BeCruiter metrics tracking (Analytics of the system, where are our job applicants coming from. This information shapes the way we direct our recruiting efforts)

USA HR Community Web Site (This is an internal web-based community that is shared by our 140+ US based HR Departments where we can post and share knowledge)
-Research new areas of content
-Solicit and upload new content
-Identify potential areas for enhancements based on research and readily available studies

MyFuture International Jobs & Careers Site
-MyFuture additional content area identification, creation and development

MyOrientation – Bertelsmann’s Online Orientation System (This is our in-house built system that supports the employee on-boarding processes)

-Identify potential areas of enhancements based on user feedback, research, readily available studies and information on best practices
-Routinely perform technical audit
-Liaise with main contacts for each company to improve web site, add new content, functionality, images, and coordinate quarterly meetings & updates

Internal Job Board (This is the place where employees can search for developmental and growth opportunities within the Bertelsmann world)

-Internal Job Board additional content area identification and development
-Manage & promote traffic from various internal sites, and make sure BeNet content is updated
-Identify new potential companies to link-off to BeNet & Internal Career center
-Routinely perform technical audit of IJB and internal company career sites

Job requirements
We are looking for the following qualifications:

• If you are not detail oriented, this isn’t the internship for you! (You must care about every aspect of what you do.)
We are looking for individuals who can commit to our group for at least 1 semester, learn, and potentially grow with us. Minimum of 3 days and 18 hours per week actual timing to be based on your school schedule.

Interns must be able to receive college credit, as this is a non-paid internship. (We will be more than happy to provide your educational institution with any documentation or applications that they may require.)

Recruiting Services Jack-of-all trades Internship (Marketing, Technology, Research, Web)

Job duties
We are looking for a motivated intern interested in contributing to a variety of hands-on projects, including but not limited to: research and benchmarking careers sites, new marketing & brand awareness initiatives, viral marketing trends, social networking technologies and much more!
Some of the projects you will have the opportunity work on in various areas include but are not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:
Marketing
Assist in design of marketing materials as demanded by our clients. Recent marketing projects include recruiting postcards, online-campaigns, movie theater ads, job fair banners and employee give-aways.
Research and Benchmarking
Benchmark the latest technologies and recruiting trends in the world of blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, video resumes and social networking sites
A portion of your internship will entail a personal “pet” research project. This project must relate to a current recruiting or social networking trend in the world today. At the close of your internship, you will present your project findings and conclusions to the BRS team.

Job requirements
We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Individuals who like to have fun (Being a little light-hearted never hurt anyone; we all enjoy a laugh on the odd occasion, thank god that is everyday in our group. Disclaimer: This does not mean that we do not work hard and we must make all of our deadlines)
• Individuals who would like to gain first-hand experience in using industry known applications such as Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and Captivate. (Hands on experience with functional and creative technologies)
• Gigantic Attention to Detail! (As they say the truth always lies in the details, this is what makes or breaks projects and initiatives. Key word: Project Management)
