The Record (Bergen County, NJ) has an opening for a commercial real estate reporter. The beat includes some of the nation’s prime retail properties, with developers, landlords and builders divvying up the most expensive real estate in the country. The reporter must write stories that are essential to the local business community, staying on top of industry trends, hot regions, and changing market conditions. Also, the reporter will be expected to break news on local property sales, leasing activity and development agreements.
Candidates should have at least five to seven years of daily reporting experience, including preferably three years as a real estate writer.
