Production Assistants Wanted for National Conference (VOLUNTEER)
Thirteen and WLIW21′s Education Department is seeking volunteers to act as Production Assistants for the upcoming Celebration of Teaching & Learning conference in March 2009. What is the Celebration of Teaching & Learning? One prominent educator has dubbed it the “World’s Fair of Education.†We try to make it the place where the best thinkers and practitioners come together to play a role in shaping the future of schools.
Volunteer production assistants would work directly under William Michael Maher, Executive Producer for the Celebration, to help film all keynote speaker sessions. This year’s speakers include the cast of The Electric Company, Sir Kenneth Robinson, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, interviewed by Charlie Rose, Autistic writer and advocate Temple Grandin and actor Alan Alda.
Volunteers would be expected to work on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th beginning at 7:00am each day.
