BET News is currently recruiting for the Spring 2010 internship program beginning February 1, 2010.
Each BET News Intern will be required to perform the following tasks: • Show Research • Transcriptions • Create Show Binders • Pull Footage • Create/Update Production Calendars • Petty Cash Reconciliation • Production assist with shoots • Create tape logs
Please note that in addition to the above tasks there are administrative duties that must be completed(i.e. filing, ordering office supplies, creating travel packs, Production runs and overall office up keep).
COMPENSATION: Academic credit ONLY.
**COURSE CREDIT MUST BE EARNED – INTERNSHIP WILL BE BASED IN NYC
** Candidate must possess a strong interest in journalism, media, public affairs and/or production. Intern will be expected to multi-task and take on whatever duties may arise, in addition to planned-out assignments and projects. Candidate must be proactive, motivated, responsible, organized, detail oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills including but not limited to being pleasant mannered with the ability to work cohesively with other interns and employees. Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); experience with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
