The Record (Bergen County, NJ) has an opening for a full-time Reporter covering municipalities.
We’re looking for a reporter who is a self-starter, is highly motivated and has a strong grasp of local news. The successful candidate also must be able to write breaking news on deadline, break news off the beat and develop enterprise off the beat. Versatility and creativity are a must, as is the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

We’re looking for a reporter for whom Web tools are part of the portfolio. A minimum of two years of daily reporting experience, or its equivalent, is required.

If interested, send a resume, a cover letter and your five best clips to: Douglas Clancy, Assistant Managing Editor, The Record, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, PO Box 471, Woodland Park, NJ 07424-0471.
