Zazoom Internship Program
The Zazoom Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for eligible college students to gain hands on experience in the development, production and post-production of dynamic short form news for the web and other digital platforms (see This internship offers valuable work experience for students who are pursuing a career in the news and communications industries and who want to learn from successful professionals in those industries. Zazoom ( is a young, growing company so the ability to multi-task, to work well under deadlines and a great attitude are all necessary.

ABOUT ZAZOOMZazoom was founded by three highly respected TV journalists who worked at the networks and at local New York news stations for many years. During those careers, they won an aggregate 40 Emmys; several Edward R. Murrow awards, and the Walter Cronkite award, among others. The company produces and distributes short-form stories ranging from breaking news, pop culture, entertainment, lifestyle and sports.

ASSIGNMENTS, HOURS, LOCATIONAssignments are based on departmental needs, students’ interests and positions available. The average workload for interns varies between 16-32 hours per week. During those hours, interns will be exposed to the standard professional methods of developing stories, research, writing, image selection, presentation and video editing, as well as social network strategies. Interns work primarily out of the Zazoom newsroom/studio in the historic Broadway-Chambers landmark building at 277 Broadway in New York City.

While this is an unpaid internship, the company may provide interns with monthly, unlimited use NYC Transit Metro Cards during the program.

QUALIFICATIONSCandidates for internships must be:
1) Enrolled in an accredited associate or bachelor degree program
2) In good academic standing
3) Able to receive academic credit for the internship
