Three students in the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic (IWHR) and a CUNY Law alumna were part of the trial preparation team in the Wiwa v. Shell corporate accountability lawsuit settled for $15.5 million on June 8, 2009. IWHR students Johan Byssainthe, Ting Ting Cheng and Jayna Turchek, and attorney Debbie Gordon of the Class of 2003, worked with IWHR Professor Jennie Green, who filed the historic case in 1996 at the Center for Constitutional Rights.
