On Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at 6:30-8:00 p.m., CUNY Law Professor Jeff Kirchmeier, an expert on the death penalty, will be a panelist at the House of the New York City Bar Association (42 West 44th Street). The program “Existential Crisis in the Courtroom: Capital Punishment, Civil Commitment, and Terror Management Theory” is free and open to the public. The two other speakers on the panel are Sheldon Solomon, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at Skidmore College, and Henry J. Richards, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Ernest Becker Foundation and Former Superintendent of Special Commitment Center for Sexually Violent Predators in Washington State.
