Professor Beryl Blaustone hosted a visit to CUNY School of Law from Dean Philip Plowden and Associate Dean Kevin Kerrigan from Northumbria Law School (NLS) in the UK on Monday, November 1st and Tuesday, November 2nd. Professor Blaustone is Visiting Professor of Teaching and Learning at NLS and in that capacity has worked extensively with these two distinguished colleagues to promote exchange between our two law schools. Both law schools share several institutional values, teaching methods and clinical approaches. In addition to visiting our clinical programs, Deans Plowden and Kerrigan met with faculty from other parts of our curriculum including our lawyering skills program, Economic Justice Project, Pipeline to Justice Program, academic support, and the Writing Center. Their visit increased the commitment by both law schools to expand our collaboration.
