On March 1, 2011, the CUNY Law Review and CUNY Law Green Coalition Food Fighters hosted the panel discussion, “Food Fight! Countering Corporate Control of the Food Supply.” The panel brought together accomplished advocates and activists on food policy and public health from across the country including Executive Director of Food & Water Watch Wenona Hauter, author Anna Lappé, NYC City Council Member Melissa Mark Viverito, public health lawyer Michele Simon, and NYC food and garden organizer Karen Washington. The event was co-sponsored by the CUNY Law Labor Coalition.
