Distinguished Professor Robson on Alabama Immigration Law

September 8, 2011

Distinguished Professor Ruthann Robson spoke on the SiriusXM program “The Morning Briefing” about a new law in Alabama that allows police to detain people who are stopped for traffic violations who they suspect are undocumented. The U.S. Department of Justice recently filed a complaint against the state that claims the law conflicts with federal immigration law. Professor Robson focuses on constitutional law, family law, feminist legal theory, and sexuality and the law and has published articles in New York Law School Journal of Human Rights, Albany Law Review, Women’s Rights Law Reporter, and Hastings Law Journal, among others.
