The Downtown Express quoted Moira Meltzer-Cohen (’12) in a story on the role of volunteer lawyers at Occupy Wall Street. Meltzer-Cohen is a volunteer with the National Lawyers Guild and has provided “Know Your Rights” trainings to OWS protesters. NLG volunteers act as legal observers and monitor activities of both police and protesters. “Whatever happens, there’s a neutral witness,” she said.
