Judge Hamill (’90) to Speak at NY Forum on Youth in Foster Care

The Honorable Bryanne Hamill (’90) will speak on a panel about the challenges faced by youth who age out of foster care at the upcoming forum Whatever It Takes: Strategies for Preventing and Addressing Youth Disconnection. Judge Hamill is a New York City Family Court judge who currently presides over a model court serving youth transitioning out of foster care. She, along with her husband, Thomas Hamill, recently established the Hamill Family Fellowship Fund, which will award summer fellowships to outstanding CUNY Law students working in the area of children’s rights.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Child Welfare Organizing Project, the Citizens Committee for Children, the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, and the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy.
