CUNY Law professor and reproductive rights legal expert Caitlin Borgmann’s essay in the Mississippi Law Journal addresses how efforts to pass “personhood amendments” could impact the national legal and moral debate about abortion and women’s rights.
Leading up to the vote on Mississippi’s amendment, Prof Borgmann was interviewed by CNN’s Situation Room on a proposed Mississippi amendment that seeks to define when “personhood” begins.
Professor Borgmann also spoke on a panel at the MIssissippi College School of Law’s symposium on the proposed amendment and was later interviewed about the amendment on Jackson, Mississippi’s WLBT and in the Clarion Ledger.
Professor Borgmann has litigated reproductive rights cases and has also spoken and written widely about reproductive rights and given testimony before several state legislatures on this issue.
