Center for Urban Environmental Reform (CUER) Hosts Panel on The Regulation of Hydrofracking in New York

On Monday, November 28, the Center for Urban Environmental Reform (CUER) at CUNY Law organized and hosted a panel to discuss New York State’s plan for hydraulic fracturing in the Marcellus Shale, the legal challenges, the environmental threat, and the community response.

The Regulation of Hydrofracking in New York

CUNY Law’s Center for Urban Environmental Reform aims to generate ongoing discourse on urban environmental justice and to revitalize participatory environmental decision-making to help community members, students, and policymakers communicate in ways that will lead to better, more sustainable decision-making.

The panel, “The Regulation of Hydrofracking in New York,” included:
