CUNY Law Students Host Intimate Partner Violence Panel

On Thursday, March 27, CUNY Law students hosted an interdisciplinary discussion about intimate- and state-sanctioned power, violence, and control within and against LGBTQ and immigrant communities. The “Voice The Silence” panel included Andrew Sta. Ana (’07), Staff Attorney at Sanctuary for Families; Suha Dabbouseh (’11), Policy Director at Sahki for South Asian Women; Ejeris Dixon, Deputy Director of Community Organizing and Public Advocacy for the NYC Anti-Violence Project; Soniya Munshi, PhD student in Sociology & Womens’ / Gender Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center. The panel was moderated by CUNY Law student Andrea Bible (’14).

This event was sponsored by CUNY Law’s Domestic Violence Coalition, OUTLaws, and Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).
