Alum Andrea Costello (’98) was the lead counsel in a historic ruling on April 5th, in which a federal judge ordered the federal Food and Drug Administration to make emergency contraception available to all women, regardless of their age, without prescription requirements. The ruling came in Tummino v. Hamburg which Judge Edward Korman said involved “the constitutional right to obtain and use contraceptives.” Costello is an attorney at the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund.
