The New York Times and the New York Daily News front page coverage both quote CUNY Law Adjunct Professor Jonathan Moore concerning a federal appeals court stay of an historic ruling enjoining the New York Police Department from conducting unconstitutional stops of minority New Yorkers. The appeals court stayed the judgment pending hearing of the city’s appeal. Prof. Moore is one of three lead counsel along with the Center for Constitutional Rights in the historic case, Floyd v. City of New York, which challenges the stop-and-frisk policy of the NYPD as racially discriminatory.
