The Council on Library and Information Resources has created a national grant program for hidden special collections and archives. The program awards institutions holding collections of high scholarly value that are difficult or impossible to locate through existing finding aids.
“Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln’s Journey to Emancipation,” an exhibition examining Lincoln’s evolution from an antislavery moderate into the Great Emancipator, will be held until April 30th at Lehman College’s Leonard Lief Library. A series of events illuminating aspects of both Lincoln’s life and the Civil War will accompany the exhibition.
