In her recent article, “Making Your Publications Open Access: Resources to Assist Researchers and Librarians,” (College & Research Libraries News vol. 74 no. 9 473-476, Oct. 2013), Diane Dawson has provided both reasons and resources for making your publications OA. From a history of the OA movement to arguments for converting faculty into OA adherents, to directories of open access journals, publishers and repository directories, the article is an excellent and concise introduction to the subject.
