Three CSI Students Participate in Inaugural Class of CUNY Leadership Academy — CSI Today: Newsmakers

Three Lehman students – Jo-Ann Winter, Dennis Kim, and Keith Lewis – have been selected to participate in CUNY’s new Leadership Academy. The Academy is part of CUNY Vice Chancellor for Student Development Garrie Moore’s vision to create a campus-wide institution aimed at creating and empowering future leaders.

City Council Honors Center for Urban Male Leadership — The Meridian at Lehman College

December 1, 2008

On November 13, New York City Council honored Lehman’s Center for Urban Male Leadership (UML) with a formal proclamation for its work with black and Latino males. Speaker Christine Quinn and Councilman Larry B. Seabrook were officiates of the ceremony, along with student members Vice President of Student Affairs Jose Magdeleno, Associate Dean John Holloway, and Professor Michael Deas, the Center’s director in attendance. The young men wore blue membership jackets and smiles.
