[City College News] A group of students at The City College of New York (CCNY) have developed a social networking website that its founder describes as a combination of “Craigslist and a more sociable Blackboard for CUNY students.”

In support of Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts, the City University of New York has launched the Help for Haiti website.

As you know, the nation of Haiti is confronting the devastating effects of a powerful earthquake that struck on January 12. Many of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni trace their ancestry to Haiti and may have family members, friends, and colleagues in the affected areas. I know that you share my deep concern about the tragic impact of the earthquake on the residents of Haiti, the hemisphere’s poorest country, and on our CUNY community.

Four out of the 25 Fellows who comprise the latest class at the prestigious CUNY Leadership Academy are from CSI, making the College’s contingent the largest in this year’s Academy. They include Qimei Luo, Jimmy Domdeth, Linda Gomez, and Katrina Hannan.
