New York, NY:  The New Community College at CUNY is spearheading a canned food drive in partnership with the Student Government Association and the Information Commons, November 5-20, 2012.  Organized by professors Nicole Saint-Louis and Nicola Blake, this drive is the inaugural student government’s first campus-wide activity.

Students are asked to donate two or more canned food items at the Information Commons and to sign the box in which the cans will be delivered to a local food pantry. The canned food drive enables students to make a positive contribution to the New York community and become advocates for change.
