The Trending News Update (TNU) club with support from college faculty and staff presented the GuttmanInternational Food Fest 2013. This potluck lunch celebrated the college’s wonderful diversity and served as a fitting tribute to CUNY Month. Attendees donated a favorite dish from their culture to share with everyone, such as baked spaetzle with cheese (Austria), bacalou (a Portuguese dish of codfish), Indianbasmati rice dish, Jamaican rice and peas, Trinidadian style stew chicken, and baklava (a Mediterranean pastry.Others brought fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks, dessert, and beverages.
Many faculty and staff assisted members of the TNU club with setting up, serving the food and with clean up,including College President Scott E. Evenbeck. “This was a special opportunity to gather together as a community to honor our wonderful students and their achieveme ts as the holiday season begins, he noted.
