Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit

July 18, 2013

The City of New York Health Benefits Program is conducting a Dependent Eligibility Audit of all employees and retirees who are enrolled in a City-sponsored health plan and have at least one dependent under their coverage.  The audit is being led by Aon Hewitt’s Dependent Eligibility Verification Center on behalf of the City of New York Health Benefits Program.

Around June 5, 2013 a letter was sent from the Health Benefits Program/Dependent Eligibility Verification Center to each employee and retiree affected by the audit.  The letter provided information on how to comply with the audit, documentation to be provided, and contact information for any questions you may have.

Please note that failure to respond to the audit will result in the termination of dependent(s) health care coverage.  Should you have any questions regarding this audit, please contact the Dependent Eligibility Verification Center directly at 1-855-596-7454 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
