Some of the most renowned names in fiction, Non-fiction and poetry are part of the creative writing faculty at CUNY. Novelist and Brooklyn College Professor Michael Cunningham, former U.S. Poet Laureate and Lehman College Professor Billy Collins and American Book Award winner, Professor Elizabeth Nunez of Medgar Evers College were among those who gathered recently at the CUNY Graduate Center to read from their work. The literary marathon is a showcase of CUNY’s creative writing talent, and sets the stage, as CUNY gets ready for its high profile participation in the 2008 Conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs.
