Chancellor’s Report to the Board of Trustees

November 25, 2013 | The Chancellor's Report

Interim Chancellor William P. Kelly, discussing a federal proposal for a “higher education scorecard,” announced that a special University committee will be working with the American Council in Education to prepare proposals for assessing college performance.  Looking forward to the new mayoral administration, the Chancellor noted that he is “encouraged by the prominence CUNY has played” in mayor-elect De Blasio’s public statements. Dr. Kelly also reported on the CUNY Value Plus initiative, noting that “almost 60% of our full-time students pay no tuition and 80% graduate with no debt whatsoever. More important, they graduate with a remarkable education, rich in breadth and in depth.”
