Once a year at a Brooklyn Cyclones game in MCU Park in July, “CUNY Night” happens. On this night, students and staff from the City University of New York gather for a shared experience of cheering on the home team, networking, and enjoying the festive backdrop of Coney Island. Every year CUNY salutes a special group of students or a notable program. This year the CUNY Service Corps was honored, and our 2013-14 alumni not only attended the game in large numbers but several alumni played an important role in the pre-game show: Damilola Iroko from John Jay threw out the first pitch; Autumn Reeves from John Jay sang the National Anthem; and a group of students also gathered on the field with CUNY VIPs before the game began. Thanks to our Service Corps alumni for representing well at this fun event!
