Sustainable CUNY has created a $1-million fund, the Sustainability Investment Fund, to support projects on CUNY campuses which produce energy savings and other sustainability benefits. Savings produced by efficiency measures will be used to pay back the fund to ensure support for future projects. Over 28 separate college submissions for the first round of funding have been received, featuring a range of projects including lighting, controls and equipment upgrades. Winning submissions will be announced in January.
