Senator Eric L. Adams and the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs are partnering to initiate a program designed to address issues facing both veterans and institutions of higher education in Staten Island.

• Increase the retention rate of students who are Veterans
• Create higher rates of students and colleges taking full advantage of available benefits
• Assistance in implementing the Post-9/11 GI Bill
• Development of “Veterans Transition Centers” to educate and support administrators and students
