Dear Colleagues,

Below you will find an official invitation to participate in the Veteran
Success Jam, a three day online brainstorming event centered on veterans
reintegrating into civilian life and transitioning to higher education. The
Jam will take place May 3-6, 2010. Registration is entirely free, and you
don’t need to download any software or plug-ins to participate

The national conversation will be centered on the seven topics listed
below. Each forum will be facilitated and hosted by subject matter experts
and leaders in that particular field.

The Jam is an online platform developed and run by IBM. IBM will analyze
the information presented throughout the Jam and generate a report
detailing recurring themes, existing barriers, and innovative solutions.
The information provided in the Jam by veterans, family members, the higher
education community, and other individuals will be used to create and drive
new initiatives supporting veterans as they pursue a college degree.

Please share this invitation with anyone you think may be interested in
participating in this national online convening—especially your student
veterans.

The American Council on Education (ACE) and the Kresge Foundation invite
you to participate in the Veteran Success Jam on May 3-6, 2010. This
three-day online brainstorming event will bring together thousands of
veterans and their families, service members, campus leaders, nonprofit
organizations, and government agencies to engage in a national conversation
about higher education’s role in the successful reintegration of returning
veterans.

As a veteran or someone who supports veterans, do you have experiences to
share or ideas about how to improve veterans’ access to and success in
higher education? This event provides the opportunity for your voice to be
heard, a chance to affect change, and an opportunity to help your fellow
veterans navigate their way to and through college. Your participation is
essential to help identify existing barriers and shape new and innovative
solutions.

You may join from any computer with Internet access. The event will be live
and available anytime over the span of three days
Launch: Monday, May 3, 2010 @12 PM ET
