Are you interested in a leadership position with a start-up company?
The new online career networking website, Four Block, is looking for talented, enthusiastic, and motivated student-veterans to help launch a new venture that assists transitioning veterans with beginning new careers. Applicants will assume leadership positions within the company and interact with our executive board of advisers, which includes several veteran-CEOs.
Four Block is a veteran-owned, New York City-based company that assists transitioning veterans with getting into college, obtaining internships with Fortune 500 companies, and ultimately beginning new careers. Current NYC-based companies include NBC Universal and UBS, and the list continues to grow.
Employment Details:
We are looking for student-veterans to assume the following positions on our team:
- Chief Operations Officer: Responsible for managing the daily operations and obtaining our weekly/monthly/quarterly goals, as well as Four Block’s finances.
- Chief Technology Officer: Responsible for creating, coding, and managing the construction of the social networking website. Proficiency in HTML5 is required.
- Chief Marketing Officer: Responsible for strengthening the Four Block corporate brand, and developing and executing the online and print marketing campaign.
- Director of Business Development: Responsible for refining Four Block’s revenue model, and planning and implementing sales campaign.
Estimated hours per week: 15-20
Compensation: Monthly stipend and/or equity shares after a trial period.
Location: Must be able to meet in midtown Manhattan once a week for corporate meetings. You are otherwise able to work from home.
Candidate Preferences:
Major/Degree: Relevant major is preferred for each job position.
Minimum Education Level: Enrolled in a four-year university or college graduate.
Minimum GPA Preferred: 3.0
Industry Experience: 0 to 1 Year
