Summary:

The Account Manager – Fulfillment supports NYC Business Solutions recruitment activities at the Workforce1 Career Centers.  This position is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with large businesses in targeted industries by matching qualified jobseekers to job orders developed through the selling of NYC Business Solutions’ hiring service to employers. Having met with success with a range of employers in entry level jobs, the Center is increasingly focused on developing job opportunities in higher wage occupations. Workforce 1 is a part of an outcomes focused NYC Business Solutions network and therefore requires that employees are team-oriented, problem-solving, professionally-driven and highly-motivated to: 1) proactively source and screen high quality candidates to maintain a 3:1 recruit-to-hire ratio for all employers; and 2) partner with the Business Services Manager to ensure timely fulfillment for a wide range of skill level positions.  Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of the NYC job market, excellent research skills and proven sales ability is essential for this position.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Represents NYC Business Solutions fulfillment services to respective Employers with an established hiring need as determined by the Sales team;
  • Develops a detailed candidate recruiting plan for each employer outlining the timeframe, desired hiring outcomes and candidate sourcing processes to be used to satisfying the hiring demand;
  • Designs for employer review and approval, all necessary screening and assessment guides tailored to identify the qualities in job candidates desired by each employer;
  • Shares secured job order information with the team; training them on the specific nuances of each employer seeking to interview candidates;
  • Conducts outreach and recruitment for appropriate qualified jobseekers as necessary utilizing all available marketing with a growing focus on tapping seasoned professionals suited to high wage occupations;
  • Identifies and develops referral partnerships with training providers, schools, trade associations, and a range of other entities to meet with job seekers with skills relevant to employer requirements;
  • Identifies appropriate venues and representing NYC Business Solutions and Seedco at hiring and networking events in New York City to recruit qualified candidates for current and future job order opportunities;
  • Works with the fulfillment team and center career advisors to identify appropriate job seekers from within the center, efficiently prescreening them for referral to all employers served by the team;
  • Complies with administrative responsibilities including follow-up with employers on hiring status and updating progress notes on interview results of job seekers;
  • Works with center career advisors and career advancement coaches to provide relevant, up-to-date job market requirements of employers for consistent screening and assessment of appropriate candidates for vocational training via Individual Training Grants (ITGs);
  • Participates with career advisors in case conference review of ITG candidates pursing training for career advancement and engaging training candidates upon training completion for referral to open jobs;
  • Works with employers to identify customized training and other needs and connecting them to appropriate services provided through our Business Solutions Centers;
  • Tracks referrals and placements on a daily and weekly basis;
  • Other and all related tasks as necessary and required.

Qualifications –

Education and Related Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • At least 3 years of directly related experience required preferably in a recruitment or staffing capacity

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Must possess extensive knowledge of local labor market trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills are essential
  • Must have demonstrated experience in a team-based work environment;
  • Must be articulate, motivating and possess strong sales skills;
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Must be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, target oriented environment
  • Existing contacts within businesses and experience presenting to business/industry preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
