Hunter's Alvord named Swimmer of the Week, Baruch's Arana tabbed Rookie

The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its weekly women's swimming and diving award winners Wednesday afternoon, and Baruch freshman Priscilla Arana was named Rookie of the Week after breaking four school records to start her collegiate career. Also, Hunter College's Heather Alvord was named Swimmer of the Week finishing first in her first two races of the season's start.

The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its weekly men's swimming and diving award winners Wednesday afternoon, and Baruch freshman Idan Saragosti was named Rookie of the Week after finishing first in his first six races of his collegiate career. Also, College of Staten Island's Pavel Buyanov was named Swimmer of the Week winning all six races he was entered in since the season's start.

FLUSHING, NY - The City University of New York Athletic Conference has announced the 2008-2009 women’s basketball pre-season polls and Player of the Year today. Lehman College senior guard Sally Nnamani has earned CUNYAC Preseason Player of the Year honors, while her Lehman Lightning were voted as the number one ranked team in the North Division, while the College of Staten Island garnered the same recognition for their respective South Division.
