ING Direct Kids Scholarship
Fund
The ING DIRECT Kids Foundation established a 9/11 Scholarship
Fund to assist CUNY part-time matriculated undergraduate students
whose parent(s) died or were severely injured in the September
11, 2001 Attack on America.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You are eligible if you are a part-time matriculated undergraduate
student and a child of a severely injured or deceased victim of
the September 11, 2001 Attack on America. You do not need to be
a resident of New York or a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
of the United States.
All applicants for this scholarship must file a Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and be in good academic standing in accordance with college and
university policy for academic standing. Eligibility for funding
is limited to ten semesters.

quality of life of children and adolescents, with the first priority
given to programs serving children in low-income and urban areas.
Application Instructions
Section A - STUDENT
INFORMATION
Enter your identifying information in this section. Please use
the name that is on your birth certificate, marriage license,
green card, or other documentation that you are submitting to
establish your eligibility.
Enter your current address. Include your apartment number if applicable.
Enter your date of birth.
List your daytime and evening phone numbers if you have them.
Check off whether you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
or not. Also check off whether you are a New York State resident.
This information will not be used for any purpose other than establishing
your eligibility for federal and state aid and tuition rates.
Section B - EDUCATIONAL
PLANS
Please enter the name of the school for each term that you are
planning to attend as a part-time, matriculated undergraduate
student. You must attend one of the following CUNY colleges.

Section C - ELIGIBILITY
Please enter the full name, social security number, and your relationship
with the person who was severely injured or killed as a result
of the September 11, 2001 Attack on America.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION: If you are the child of a deceased or
severely injured victim, you need a birth certificate indicating
your relationship to the victim. You will also need a copy of
the death certificate or a letter from the victim=s physician
indicating the victim=s injuries were a result of the attack.
Section D - AFFIRMATION
Sign and date the application and return the completed application
