The Paul A. Kaplan Center for Educational Drama, established within CAT in 1993, offers:
12-credit graduate certificates:
Drama in the Classroom
The Theatre Teaching Artist
Creating Theatre with Young People
as well as
a variety of non-credit workshops and seminars in theatre for youth and community development.
The Kaplan Center also produces the New York City Student Shakespeare Festival for New York and New Jersey teachers and their students. The Kaplan Center fulfills CAT's mission to foster new generations of teachers, teaching artists, youth development and community outreach professionals, who locally, nationally, and internationally use drama to invigorate learning and to facilitate social change.
