Homeland Insecurity: A WBAI Radio Producer Series

On Tuesday, June 13, the WBAI (99.5 FM) Producer Series will present an interactive, thought-provoking program on issues of civil liberties and government abuses of power.

The program will offer a unique perspective on some of the secret contingency plans that the NSA, CIA, FBI and FEMA want to implement to take away our rights. What are our current civil rights? How are they being threatened? What role do government organizations play in the present administration? Do those organizations interface with each other, and in what ways?

A panel of experts will expose the real story, giving us practical strategies for getting back our dwindling civil rights. The panelists will include Bernard White, WBAI Program Director, and former co-host of the radio show Wake Up Call; Frank Morales, Episcopal priest, activist, author, Police State America; Ellen Ray, investigative journalist, President, the Institute for Media Analysis, coauthor, Guantanamo: What the World Should Know; Bill Schaap, attorney, writer, lecturer, has been an expert witness before US and foreign courts on the media and disinformation.

The program will run from 7:30 to 9:30p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public; and $5 for students

To register, call (212) 817-8215 or email continuinged@gc.cuny.edu with the information listed above.
