I’m really excited to join an innovative program such as ASAP that is committed to nurturing students’ success while providing them with comprehensive support services throughout their college career. I have spent the last thirteen years working in higher education where I have had the privilege of supporting students’ educational goals in many different capacities and I’m humble and honored to continue with the opportunity of supporting students as the Director of ASAP alongside a great team of dedicated professionals at LaGuardia Community College.
Prior to joining the ASAP team, I was a founding member of Guttman Community College where I spent close to three years serving as the Associate Director of Academic Achievement and was responsible for coordinating educational support, counseling assistance, and academic/transfer advisement for students. Before Guttman, I worked at Hostos Community College for eleven years where I served in various capacities, including facilitator at the Academic Learning Center, Executive Assistant for the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture, and lastly, as Assistant Director for New Student Advisement & Retention Services, where I programmed activities that served to enrich students’ college experiences and create opportunities for academic success. I hold a Master’s degree in Urban Affairs/Public Sector Management from Queens College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baruch College.
