Arizona Program Overview

In Phoenix, Arizona, the initiative is a partnership with the University of Arizona’s Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health that currently operates the Health Primary Prevention Unit. Our legal team will partner with the Health Unit to promote citizenship screening and referrals in Hispanic neighborhoods.

The legal team, consisting of a local immigration attorney and paralegals has been hired and trained by Citizenship Now! to provide free immigration consultations and application assistance, with a focus on assisting Mexicans and other Latinos on their path to U.S. citizenship. The legal team will utilize CitizenshipWorks, an advanced naturalization application software to maximize the number of participants assisted.

Citizenship Now! will use its expertise with volunteer engagement to build a volunteer corps in Phoenix training students, immigrations advocates and other individuals on the basics of citizenship and naturalization law. The volunteer corps will be a critical element to growing immigration clinics in each state as the program evolves. All services to lawful permanent residents will be free of cost. Citizenship Now! attorneys in New York will be available by phone, email and chat to provide real-time legal technical assistance to all legal teams.
