The CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences is pleased to announce its 2017-8 award programs for full time Assistant and Associate Professors at all CUNY colleges, schools, and centers:
- The CUNY Academy Travel Awards assist with the cost of conference attendance for Associate Professors.
- The Stewart Travel Awards assist with the cost of conference attendance for Assistant Professors
- The Academy’s Feliks Gross awards recognize the outstanding scholarship of Assistant Professors

A Panel Discussion on the New York State Constitution, moderated by Dr. Joseph S. Biehl. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in the Graduate Center, Room C197 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The event is cosponsored by the Gotham Philosophical Society and hosted by Professor Stefan Baumrin. RSVPs are not necessary for this event.

Manfred Philipp is a Professor of Biochemistry, Lehman College and the CUNY Graduate Center who currently serves on the UFS Executive Committee, and served as Chair of the University Faculty Senate, 2006-2010. Professor Philipp has also served as President of the CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences and currently serves as the Academy’s Executive Director.
