Bennyroyce Dance is a contemporary dance company based in Brooklyn, NY that cultivates multidisciplinary collaboration and inspires collective innovation under the artistic leadership of Filipino-American dancer and choreographer Bennyroyce Royon. Founded in 2010, Bennyroyce Dance delivers fresh, energetic, and inventive works that engage diverse audiences in imagining unknown possibilities, in seeking boundless connections and meaning, and in embracing the dynamic movements of life through performances, classes, and workshops.
Bennyroyce Dance has appeared in New York City at The Ailey Studios, The Joyce Theater, The Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance, and Baruch Performing Arts Center. Outside of New York City, BENNYROYCE DANCE has appeared in Washington State at Velocity Dance Center in Seattle, The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, and the Roxy Theater in Morton; the New Orleans Fringe Festival’s Café Istanbul; and in Oberlin, Ohio’s Hall Auditorium. Bennyroyce Dance has been awarded a CUNY Dance Initiative residency at Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture for the second consecutive year, and has additionally received residencies from Brooklyn Music School in Brooklyn, NY, Velocity Dance Center in Seattle, WA, Armitage Gone! Dance at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City, NJ, and The Art Mill in Jeffersonville, NY.
